Kuwaiti Dinar

The Kuwaiti dinar (code: KWD) is the official currency of Kuwait. It is subdivided into 1,000 fils and is commonly used in denominations of KD ¼, KD ½, KD 1, KD 5, KD 10, KD 20 bills and 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 fils coins. The Kuwait Dinar is currently the most valuable currency in the world. Contributing to this is Kuwait's strong economic stability as it has one of the largest oil reserves in the world and with oil in high-demand, there is also international demand for Kuwaiti dinar.

As of 2022, the Kuwaiti dinar is the highest value currency with a value range of 2.5x-3x as compared to the US Dollar (USD), euro (EUR) and sterling (GBP). Since May 2007, the Kuwaiti dinar (KD) has been pegged to an undisclosed "basket of currencies" that is said to be heavily weighted towards the dollar. It is considered a highly stable currency.
