Norwegian Krone

The Norwegian krone (sign: kr; code: NOK) is the official currency of Norway and was introduced in 1875. It is subdivided into 100 øre, which only exist electronically since the øre went out of circulation in 2012. The krone currency is most commonly found in denominations of 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 kr bills and 1, 5, 10, 20 kr coins.
