The Krona (sign: kr; code: SEK) is the currency of Sweden. Currently the coins in use are the 1, 2, 5, and 10 kronor. As for banknotes, the denominations of 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1,000 are in circulation. The Swedish Krona was introduced in 1873 at the time when the Scandinavian Monetary Union was established.
